The Safe School Improvement Act of 2011 mandates every state’s department of education to create an anti-bullying initiative. For this task, you will research your state department of education’s website, and then locate the Anti-Bullying Prevention Program for your state. Based upon your state’s program, create a PowerPoint presentation on the elements that are mandated within your school/district. Include the following in your presentation:
Describe how the elements identified should be implemented in your school/district.
Address issues of bullying, peer harassment, student on student violence, etc. Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as “speaker notes” for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists.
Length: 10 slides (with a separate reference slide). Include 3-5 sources. Notes Length: 150-200 words for each slide
Tip: You can get help using PowerPoint “Notes” through the “help” function of PowerPoint. If you save the presentation as a webpage, your notes automatically display. Your notes can fill the role of the speaker, giving your audience the background and details that a speaker would provide during a live presentation.
Your presentation should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
