Pick three of your social identities (for example: gender, race, and sexual orientation) and discuss the pop culture representations you saw of people who shared each social identity with you when you were growing up (I’m looking for examples from TV or movies you consumed before you were 13 years old). For each identity you will need to reflect on 2-3 representations from 2-3 different shows or movies.
Answer the following questions in your paper:
1. Which social identities did you pick? For each social identity share which shows or movies (and the names of the specific characters) you will be talking about.

2. For EACH of the social identities you picked answer the following questions: Were the representations positive or negative or mixed? Why? Be specific. How did these representations impact how you saw yourself? Did you relate to these representations, why or why not?
