For this next essay assignment, you will begin by reading a couple articles on the issue of procrastination. One article presents an argument as to why this is an unhelpful practice, while the other article presents an argument as to why it can be productive. Our discussion board is meant to help you think through your own viewpoint and engage in some dialogue with classmates who might feel similarly or differently from you.
After the discussion board, you will begin writing a rough draft. Since this essay is argumentative, just like Unit 1, you will need to put forth an argument about procrastination. Just as in our last paper, you will also need to reasons, explanation, etc. While we went through a detailed, step-by-step process with our last paper, you will now be able to take all that you learned about the writing process and apply it on your own. You will not need to submit formal annotated bibliographies, outlines, etc. for grading purposes. Instead, you can use whichever steps helped you.
The paper should have an introduction, several body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Here is a summary of the requirements:
