CMAF 3640 – FALL, 2022

FINAL (TAKE-HOME) EXAM

Dr. Susan Bryant

Due:  11:59 PM, Thursday, December 15th, to Blackboard Drop-Box

Late exams will be docked 5% per day or portion thereof.

Answer the following question in an essay of not less than 1000 words and not more than 1500 words.  The response must be submitted in term paper format (i.e., with APA referencing, etc., even though course materials are being used).

Note that the idea is to show as thorough an understanding of the course material as you can; try to provide the most nuanced and complex response that you can.  This exam is worth 21% of the course grade.

Note: you MUST provide a word count at the end of the document (before the References).

Question:  During the semester we have discussed environmental racism and climate justice issues at both the domestic and the global level.  Using ALL of the materials listed below, as well as a selection of assigned readings from the course (your choice), provide an analysis of the issue of climate justice as of the present moment (post-COP27).  How are the domestic and global issues we have considered connected?; what are the underpinnings of the climate justice crisis?; what major challenges has COP 27 left us with, and what needs to be done to see meaningful changes that might save the planet (be specific and realistic)?
