Case Studies are used to assess student knowledge and critical thinking applied to writing conditions of presented cases. Each case is based on a DSM diagnosis. A video presentation will be provided to demonstrate the diagnosis of the person being observed. Directions: Please review that video and respond using the following format: Each case is based on a DSM diagnosis. - First describe the case using anecdotal records and existing records.
- Use the DSM to describe the condition of autism.
- Identify and describe the ABCs of behavior: Antecedent, Behavior, and Consequences (here you will need to be specific and detailed in your response and provide examples of each A, B, and C).
- Determine how you would provide assessment (collect data) and intervention for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
- Discuss your expectancy response to the case intervention and outcome.
