The book review grade will be based on your demonstration that you read and understood the material by incorporating the relevant material from the Gordon and Gordon text and my notes into the review as well as their personal perspective on the material. A high quality review will answer the following questions: What is the book about? What are the major themes of the book? What are the major cultural beliefs and practices of the Jola? What do you think about the book? Late commentaries will be accepted but penalized one letter grade for each day late (see review deadlines listed below). The book review is worth 20% of your grade (40 points).
